About AgriDiverCluster<\/h3>
<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

AgriDiverCluster, coordinated by the\u00a0Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources<\/a>\u00a0of ELGO-DIMITRA<\/a>, is the outcome of the implementation of the business plan entitled \u201cAn innovative cluster for the utilization of Greek biodiversity and plant genetic resources with emphasis on aromatic \/ medicinal plants and traditional varieties for the creation of innovative food products\u201d. The project was approved in the framework of the Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation \u00a0(EPANEK) program of the National Strategic Reference Framework 2014-2020 entitled \"Collaborative Innovation Clusters\".<\/p>\n

As part of the project, a strategic framework and a set of actions were developed, leading to the establishment of the necessary conditions for the creation of an Innovation Cluster, as well as to the proposal of a specific legal form that will ensure the sustainability of the initiative and the expected benefits for its members.<\/p>\n

At the same time, through the training, communication and exchange of views among the cluster members during the project, its current status was recorded through a stakeholder analysis. In addition, a SWOT analysis was carried out during the cluster development and training activities, while a business plan was prepared based on the results of the SWOT analysis.<\/p>\n

The result of the coordinated and joint efforts of all stakeholders involved throughout the project was the establishment of the Non-Profit Civil Company under the name \u201cCollaborative Cluster for the Conservation and Utilisation of Greek Biodiversity\u201d and the distinctive title \u201cAgriDiverCluster\u201d.<\/p>\n

Through the research it conducts, the Facilitator of the AgriDiverCluster generates and transfers knowledge for the development of the agri-food sector and the resolution of current challenges. The initial core consists of fifteen private entities that have developed significant activities based on the utilisation of the country's plant genetic resources.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
