Mission of the Cluster<\/h3>
<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Through the training, the communication and the co-development between the members of AgriDiverCluster, cluster\u2019s main mission and priority focus on developmental prospects for the generation of Greek products with distinct identity and authentication. Due to the ratification of the Nagoya protocol (European Regulation 511\/2014<\/a>) carried out by the Greek parliament in June 2019 and is now a state law (Law 4617 Issue A '88 \/ 10.06.2019<\/a>)\u00a0as well as an indisputable national milestone in the field of sustainable and \/ or commercial utilization of national genetic resources, sectors of research and development are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The sustainable utilisation of Greek biodiversity and the strengthening of links between research and agricultural\/industrial production, particularly with ELGO-DIMITRA and especially with the Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources, in the fields of interest of the Company, as well as the exchange of experience and best practices among its members on issues related to the utilisation of Greek biodiversity.<\/li>\n
  2. The development of a network for cooperation and communication among its members, as well as with similar companies or organisations in Greece and abroad.<\/li>\n
  3. Contributing to the identification and utilisation of funding programmes related to research and development in fields relevant to its objectives, as well as to the creation of mechanisms for promoting the outcomes of such research.<\/li>\n
  4. Attracting funding through participation in research, development and innovation programmes, studies and projects, either independently or in cooperation with other organisations (legal entities and individuals), for joint product promotion initiatives and the potential utilisation of shared infrastructure.<\/li>\n
  5. The preparation of studies, interventions, research activities, recommendations, etc., relating to issues of interest to the Company, and their publication or submission to the competent bodies or authorities, as appropriate.<\/li>\n
  6. The organisation of training and information activities open to all stakeholders, whether members or non-members.<\/li>\n
  7. Promoting the utilisation of research results through the provision of scientific and technological information in the Company's fields of activity (databases, electronic networking, mega-data management and processing).<\/li>\n
  8. The training and awareness-raising of the network\u2019s target groups (producers, consumers, etc.), as well as existing and potential executives, in order to acquire the technical and operational skills required.<\/li>\n
  9. Promoting and facilitating access of Greece\u2019s natural products to domestic and international markets.<\/li>\n
  10. Cooperation with other similar clusters in Greece and abroad, as well as the development of contacts and the Company\u2019s participation in relevant international networks.<\/li>\n
  11. Providing all members of the Company with the opportunity for personalised communication and cooperation with members of ELGO-DIMITRA, and in particular with the Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources and all Institutes of the General Directorate of Agricultural Research of ELGO-DIMITRA that are relevant to the Company's objectives, as well as with other research organisations.<\/li>\n
