Collaboration
Collaboration with similar clusters in Greece and abroad. Collaborative Innovation Clusters are key players in entrepreneurship and research and development, providing a significant boost to competitiveness and innovation by playing a role in identifying, designing and implementing policies that often support job creation, development and investments.
In particular, clusters combine resources and knowledge in order for their members to collaborate in common strategies and carry out activities that are in the interest of all and especially the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that comprise them. Partnerships focus on creating joint actions, investment plans and on a sustainable relationship for participating in common priority areas of smart specialization linked to industrial modernization.
In this context, AgriDiverCluster actively participates in international networks and collaborations that promote innovation, knowledge exchange, and the development of joint research and business initiatives.
- Member of the Plant Intercluster (PIC): AgriDiverCluster is a member of the Plant Intercluster (PIC), which belongs to the Vegepolys Valley network. Through its participation in the network, it collaborates with research, business and institutional organisations from various European countries, taking part in networking activities, knowledge exchange and the development of joint initiatives. At the same time, synergies are being developed for the joint preparation and submission of proposals under European Union funding calls, with the aim of strengthening innovation, research and transnational cooperation in the agri-food sector.
- Member of the PhytoFuture Network: AgriDiverCluster participates in the PhytoFuture network – “German-Greek Innovation Network: Development of Technological Solutions and Processes for a Climate-Resilient and Competitive Production of Plant-Based Active Compounds”, a Greek-German cooperation network focusing on the development of technological solutions and innovative processes for the climate-resilient and competitive production of plant-based bioactive compounds. Participation in the network provides access to scientific support from the University of Hohenheim, opportunities for the development of joint research and innovation projects across the entire value chain of aromatic and medicinal plants, funding opportunities for innovative projects, and the establishment of long-term strategic partnerships. Through regular working meetings, expert presentations and knowledge exchange with international partners, the technological competitiveness of the Cluster’s members is strengthened, as is their access to new innovation ecosystems.
- Cooperation with the University of Western Macedonia: Within the framework of the project “European Digital Innovation Hub; Digital Innovation Hub of Western Macedonia - SYNERGiNN EDIH”, funded under the “Competitiveness 2021–2027” programme, AgriDiverCluster collaborates with the Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE) of the University of Western Macedonia. SYNERGiNN EDIH provides specialised expertise and high value-added services to address the digital needs of companies and organisations operating in the fields of Energy and Environment. As part of a broader network of European Digital Innovation Hubs, SYNERGiNN EDIH aims to promote cooperation and networking opportunities, providing its clients with access to European and global networks and enhancing their international visibility.
